Job Overview
The Senior Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies and contractual arrangements through competitive bids and agreement negotiations. This individual will work closely with key internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, optimize costs, and improve the overall value of our $1B+ annual professional services spend. The successful candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, excellent analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate and lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives with key internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, optimize costs, and improve the overall value of our professional services spend
- Evaluate providers and experts based on pre-determined selection criteria to ensure the best possible outcomes for arenaflex
- Develop and lead RFI/RFP processes for professional services in accordance with arenaflex's policies and procedures
- Analyze bids based on overall cost and delivery to identify opportunities to obtain the most desirable value
- Prepare and execute clear, based negotiation strategies utilizing Strategic Sourcing methodology to achieve optimal results
- Prepare and execute contracts, as well as perform post-award administration to ensure seamless implementation and management of agreements
- Understand and assist in the development and execution of performance management programs with providers that focus on quality, responsiveness, and cost to ensure exceptional customer experiences
- Ensure compliance with Sourcing and Procurement regulations and best practices to maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethics
- Communicate and document to management the status of any significant external relationships that may impact planning and decision-making
- Analyze industry trends and situations that affect internal stakeholders and external providers and/or pricing to stay ahead of the curve and make informed decisions
- Participate in professional development activities to maintain knowledge of contemporary business best practices and stay up-to-date with industry developments
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing experience, with a minimum of 2 years of services category sourcing experience
- Ability to engage with and establish relationships with personnel at all levels, including senior executives and external providers
- Strong strategic agility, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
- Strong analytical abilities, with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong negotiation abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Internal client focus, with the ability to understand and meet the needs of internal stakeholders
- Ability/preference to work in various environments, including remote and on-site locations
- Ability to handle ambiguity and uncertainty, with a strong focus on delivering results and achieving goals
- Knowledge of Sourcing & Procurement processes, basic legal terms & conditions, and entertainment industry trends and situations
- Proven expertise with all aspects of the sourcing process for professional services agreements
- Established experience working with the legal department on subjects related to boilerplate revisions to terms and conditions
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working with and/or for companies that offer consulting and advisory services
- Professional Services Sourcing background, with a strong understanding of the services category and its nuances
- Consulting/Advisory background, with experience working with external providers and managing complex projects
Education and Training
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, with a strong focus on strategic sourcing, procurement, and contract management.
