**Job Responsibilities**
As a Senior Data Analyst – Space Optimization, you will be responsible for:
* 50%: Providing micro and macro area optimization evaluations of various scopes throughout items, categories, and departments.
* 20%: Communicating the method and insights generated by tools to senior business leaders.
* 20%: Evaluating and identifying opportunities during store initiatives and business resets for arenaflex.
* 10%: Partnering with store planning and space planning teams to aid and execute new ideas based on competitive and space productivity analyses.
**Minimum Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree with 1 year of work experience.
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* The knowledge, skills, and abilities commonly obtained through the completion of a bachelor's or master's degree program or equivalent in a field of study related to the job.
* Three years of work experience in data mining and statistical analysis.
* Experience with large-scale data analysis and a proven ability to identify key insights from data to solve business problems.
* Proven ability to manage situations that require analytical thinking, negotiation, interpretation, and execution.
* The ability to create and influence change through their behavior and enthusiasm in their work.
* In-depth knowledge of retail, supply chain, product format, and space planning practices and methods with the ability to analyze and interpret space and space productivity data.
**Competencies**
* Advanced experience with the JDA Intactix space control suite is highly preferred.
* High skill in financial/statistical modeling packages including forecasting and/or optimization is highly preferred.
* Experience in MS Excel, MS Access, or other analytical tools required.
* Experience with Hadoop, R, SAS, or other applicable statistical modeling tools/languages.
* Experience with multiple statistical modeling and regression analysis strategies and their practical business applications.
