The Role

As a Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will work in a permanent work-at-home role, taking inbound phone calls from patients, members, or customers. You will utilize your exemplary customer service skills, patience, understanding, and compassion to resolve their queries and provide support. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional patient experiences, ensuring that every interaction is positive, informative, and empathetic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform PCP Change/Provider Lookup, ensuring seamless transitions for patients
• Look up Medical Benefits, including benefit maximums, copay/coinsurances, Prior Authorization prerequisites, and coverage
• Review Ancillary Benefits, such as Dental, Vision, Over the Counter, and other related services
• Process claims inquiries, addressing patient concerns and resolving issues related to billing and services
• Answer enrollment/disenrollment inquiries, guiding patients through the process
• Address Grievances/Complaints, listening to patient concerns and providing solutions
• Perform billing tasks, including making payments, transaction history, and premium inquiries
• Manage LEP (Limited English Proficiency) inquiries and disputes, ensuring language access for all patients
• Assist with material requests, such as ID cards, Large/Brail print materials, and Catalogs
• Provide self-help options, including member portal access and guidance
• Offer local locations to pharmacies, OTC, and Specialist services, facilitating convenient access to care

Requirements for Success

To excel in this role, you will need:

Essential Qualifications:

• At least a High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 18 months of call center experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Minimum of 2 years of computer experience in a work environment, with proficiency in software applications
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey empathy and care
• A dedicated area to work from in your home, with a quiet and distraction-free environment
• Internet speed requirement of 50 Mb/s for download speeds and 10 Mb/s for upload speeds (wired connection required)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare background, with knowledge of medical terminology and concepts
• Experience with customer service software and technology, including CRM systems
• Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., HDI, ICMI)
