Key Responsibilities
- Perform specialized duties for the team and assist the Assistant Manager and Manager with daily activities
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of tasks performed in the department to fulfill the tasks of other team members in their absence
- Provide direction to other members of the team, serve as a resource for questions, and research reconciliation discrepancies and complex accounts
- Assist with training and the creation of training materials
- Analyze accounts to determine if the balance is ready to bill the next payer, ensuring deadlines are met
- Prioritize workload based on guidance from management
- Maintain professional development by attending all required in-services/classes
- Maintain a working knowledge of computer systems supported by the department
- Maintain the privacy and security of all confidential and protected health information
- Meet productivity requirements to ensure excellent service is provided to customers
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, HIPAA, and established corporate and departmental policies and procedures
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's degree in Healthcare or Business, or equivalent relevant revenue cycle experience
- Two years of revenue cycle experience
- Previous lead experience in the revenue cycle preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure and handle stress in a way that maintains relationships with patients, customers, and co-workers
- Strong computer and math skills, with knowledge of Excel required
- Demonstrated leadership in establishing and achieving goals
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and all other third-party insurance requirements
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in unusual or stressful situations
Preferred Qualifications
