Key Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, according to state, federal, and company policies and procedures
- Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and ensure accurate and efficient data entry
- Develop strong relationships with patients, customers, and healthcare providers, and provide exceptional customer service
- Assist with inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription medications
- Perform duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager, staff pharmacist, and store manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company rules and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement programs
- Assist with outside and inside maintenance, ensuring the pharmacy department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat, and orderly in condition and appearance
Essential Qualifications
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
- Preferred: six months of experience in a retail environment
- Preferred: previous work experience with arenaflex
- Preferred: desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
- Preferred: basic computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control
- Preferred: PTCB certification
