Key Responsibilities
- Cashier Responsibilities:
- Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience
- Provide feedback to management on all products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues
- Participate in taking store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitoring inventory for accuracy
- Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
- Stocker Responsibilities:
- Stock shelves and rotate product properly to guarantee fresh product is available for the customer
- Follow merchandising planograms to create excellently merchandised displays
- Organize new inventory, removes and breaks down empty boxes
- Operate machinery and follow all safety procedures
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this role include:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store
- Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Effective time management
- Knowledge of products and services of the company
Cashier-specific qualifications include:
- Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
- Compliance with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
Stocker-specific qualifications include:
- Ability to operate equipment safely and properly, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
Education and Experience
We are looking for individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior work experience in a retail environment is preferred. A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is also acceptable.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of $19.50 per hour, with opportunities for wage increases in subsequent years. Our benefits package includes:
