Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Licensed Insurance Representative to join our team at our Port Saint Lucie, Florida location. As a Licensed Insurance Representative, you will be the eyes and ears for our team, fielding customer inquiries and finding innovative ways to respond. You will work in a collaborative and engaging environment, interacting with people from all walks of life, and no two days will be the same. Your main responsibility will be to find innovative ways to respond to varying questions, issues, and concerns, providing excellent customer service through active listening and working with confidential customer information in a sensitive manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle and carefully respond to all inbound and outbound customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
• Provide excellent customer service through active listening, ensuring that customer concerns are addressed and resolved in a timely and efficient manner
• Work with confidential customer information and treat it sensitively, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and discretion
• Aim to resolve issues on the first call by being proactive, patient, empathetic, and understanding, using logical problem-solving skills to navigate complex customer issues
• Appropriately communicate with customers, exercising retention efforts if needed, and identifying customers who are comparison-shopping and inquiring about contract terms
• Compassionately handle sensitive situations surrounding healthcare needs, education, and prevention planning, providing support and guidance to customers in need

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on customer service and support
• 6 months of customer service experience preferred, with a proven track record of providing excellent customer service and support
• Over 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to type 25 wpm, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort with desktop computer systems, including Microsoft Windows operating systems
• Possess an active home state Property & Casualty License, with a strong understanding of insurance principles and practices
