As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in addressing patient questions and concerns, fielding correspondence requests, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Receive and resolve up to 60 calls daily in a fun, fast-paced environment, ensuring that all patient inquiries are addressed in a timely and professional manner. Interact directly with patients, affiliate partners, payers, and healthcare providers via phone, providing guidance and support on various healthcare-related topics. Collect payments and provide guidance on payment options for outstanding balances, ensuring that patients are aware of their financial responsibilities. Update accounts with new or corrected information, request itemized statements, and re-bill claims when necessary, utilizing analytical thinking for account research and reconciliation. Explain medical bills and identify deductibles, coinsurance, copays, and other patient financial responsibilities, ensuring that patients are informed and empowered to make decisions about their care. Manage all interactions in a positive, caring manner, demonstrating empathy and understanding for patients' concerns and needs. Perform specialized tasks as assigned by the manager and/or supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the team and the organization. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years' healthcare experience, preferably in medical billing and direct patient contact in a call center environment. Technical proficiency, with advanced verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Professional maturity and the ability to exercise sound judgment, with a strong focus on patient satisfaction and experience. Written/verbal fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred, but not required. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: 2 years of medical billing experience, with exposure to insurance billing and medical terminology. Direct patient contact experience in a call center environment, with a strong focus on customer service and patient satisfaction. Experience working in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment, with a strong ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
