About the Role
The Global Client General Manager is a key position at Amex GBT, reporting to the Director of Client Management. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for leading the execution of our client servicing strategy for a portfolio of accounts. You will work closely with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners to drive business growth, optimize operations, and deliver exceptional value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions to drive business success.
- Lead the execution of client servicing strategies, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, sales, and marketing teams, to drive business growth and optimize operations.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans, setting clear goals and objectives for client relationships.
- Lead annual and quarterly global business reviews, providing insights and recommendations to drive business success.
- Navigate internal stakeholders to drive value for clients, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Support the enhancement of the American Express value proposition, leveraging technology and online servicing solutions to drive client satisfaction.
- Proactively identify risks to the partnership, developing action plans and mitigating actions to ensure business continuity.
- Influence key client decision-makers through effective communication and strategic guidance.

- 5+ years of global account/client management experience in the travel industry.
- Extensive customer/client facing experience globally.
- Strong business and financial competence, with a proven ability to drive results and achieve targets.
- Deep industry knowledge across suppliers, technology, servicing, and multi-market awareness.
- Excellent influencing and consultative skills, with the ability to drive change and achieve mutually beneficial solutions.
- Adept at learning new technology and navigating complex systems.
- Strategic account planning experience, with a focus on analytics and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to handle objections and achieve successful outcomes.
- Proven executive-level presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
- A base salary range of $70,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
