Job Overview

This full-time remote opportunity is based in the USA, offering a competitive salary of $30-$35 per hour. As an Accountant at arenaflex, you will be responsible for the accounting capabilities associated with sales and use tax assessment and permit to operate compliance processes. This includes participating in the monthly accounting close cycle, preparing to repeat monthly journal entries, and organizing general ledger account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of general ledger data analysis and the ability to create monthly data files that accommodate the general ledger for our co-source charge compliance provider.

Key Responsibilities

• Plans and analyzes income and financial statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting statements and reports.
• Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting orders assigned to different accounts.
• Applies sound accounting principles and creates or suggests accounting procedures and systems.
• Trains or assigns work to accountants, accounting clerks, and other partners to participate in daily accounting activities.
• Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, regions, and divisions.
• Participates in financial reporting.

Direct Supervisor and Direct Reports

This position typically reports to a Senior Manager. The role has no direct reports, but you will work closely with the Senior Duty Bookkeepers to ensure the completion of daily accounting and tax activities in the Corporate Expense Division.

Travel Requirements

Regularly requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position, and there is a regular opportunity to move about. Occasionally, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions

Located in a comfortable indoor area, any unpleasant conditions would be rare and not offensive. Models include phone operator and document agent.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years old or older.
• Must be legally allowed to work in the US.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient high-level knowledge and expertise using Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Experience with general ledger software like SAP or comparable software.
• Demonstrates strong relational skills and works well in a team environment.
• Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Education

The knowledge, skills, and abilities are normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Minimum Years of Work Experience

2 years of relevant work experience required.
