**Job Summary**
As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records. You'll work closely with our pharmacy team to ensure that our customers receive the best possible care and support. This is a remote data entry position, and you'll be working from home, interacting with customers and colleagues through phone, email, and other digital channels.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
* Process prescriptions, including filling, counting, and pouring medications, and verifying accuracy
* Maintain accurate records, including patient information, prescriptions, and inventory levels
* Work closely with our pharmacy team to ensure that customers receive the best possible care and support
* Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge
* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
* Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations, including HIPAA and state and local laws
**Client Experience**
* Greet customers and patients in a friendly and welcoming manner
* Provide assistance with products and services, including answering questions and making recommendations
* Resolve customer issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner
* Model and promote excellent customer service best practices, including a positive attitude, active listening, and empathy
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that customers receive the best possible experience
**Tasks**
* Process customer transactions, including ringing up sales, handling returns, and processing voids
* Maintain accurate records, including customer information, transactions, and inventory levels
* Perform tasks as assigned by the Pharmacy Director, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and medication data
* Verify accuracy of prescriptions, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
* Participate in inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise
* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
**Preparation and Self-Improvement**
* Obtain and maintain PTCB certification through the assigned PTCB training program and state required certification/enrollment
* Attend training and complete PPLs mentioned by Supervisor or assigned by corporate and secure continuing education credits
* Stay up-to-date on the latest news and advancements in healthcare and pharmacy, including new medications, treatments, and technologies
**Essential Capabilities**
* Must be conversant in reading, writing, and communicating in English (except in Puerto Rico)
* Must be willing to work an adaptable schedule, including nights and weekend hours
* Must have basic computer skills and be able to learn and use pharmacy systems and software
**Preferred Capabilities**
* Prefer 6 months of experience in a retail environment
* Prefer previous work experience with arenaflex
* Prefer excellent numerical skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
* Prefer basic computer skills and experience with pharmacy systems and software
* Prefer knowledge of store stock control and inventory management
