About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and highly organized Assistant Editor/Production Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will work closely with our editors, post-production team, and other stakeholders to ensure that all content is processed and delivered on time and in the correct formats. This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals in the entertainment industry, and we're looking for someone who is passionate about content creation and has a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily content workflows, including downloading, organizing, and delivering video assets for on-air promos and digital platforms.
- Coordinate the creation and distribution of deliverables (ProRes files, viewing files, social media assets with captions) to appropriate platforms and backup systems.
- Oversee file management on various servers and cloud systems and ensure assets are properly archived.
- Work with the post-production team to ensure that all deliverables meet broadcast standards and deadlines.
- Maintain communication with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of final deliverables.
- Perform administrative tasks, including maintaining the editorial calendar and other tracking documents.
About You
We're looking for someone with a strong background in television production, post-production, or media coordination. Here are some of the key qualifications we're looking for:
- Prior experience in television production, post-production, or media coordination preferred.
- 2+ years of professional video editorial experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere) and file management systems (e.g., Wiredrive, Nexis, Extreme Reach, G-Drive, Sharepoint).
- Understanding of frame rates, conversions, and codecs.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with broadcast and digital media workflows.
- Technical troubleshooting skills, particularly related to media asset delivery and management.
- Available to work long hours when needed, especially under tight deadlines.
