Overview of Role
We're seeking a seasoned Front-End Engineer for a 7-week remote contract assignment, approximately 40 hours per week. As a Front-End Engineer with 66degrees, you'll be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software solutions using React, Node.js, and cloud-native technologies
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Developing high-quality, scalable, and maintainable front-end code
- Participating in unit testing and test-driven development (TDD)
- Working with Google Cloud Platform suite of products and services (GCP)
- Utilizing Scrum process and Git for version control
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders and team members
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience developing cloud-native applications
- Proficiency in JavaScript (including TypeScript) and React
- Experience in front-end development (familiarity and exposure to full-stack development is preferred but not required)
- Familiarity with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD)
- Familiarity with Scrum process and Git
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Node.js and Google Cloud Platform suite of products and services (GCP)
- Experience in professional services/consulting
