Our Studio Data Management team is at the heart of this innovation, overseeing the quality and management of critical data that informs business decisions across the organization. As a Data Lead, you'll be part of a dynamic team that collaborates with product groups, stakeholders, and partners to drive data-driven success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Strategic Thinking and Leadership: Develop short-term and long-term plans for deal data needs across the studio, including data quality and education. Create quarterly goals to meet business objectives and lead the execution of key initiatives.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert: Act as the primary data SME across the studio, consulting with product management, engineers, designers, and partners on business-related deal data matters.
- Define and Track Data Quality Metrics: Collaborate with product management, product DSE, and other partners to define, create, analyze, and report metrics that provide visibility into various aspects of data quality.
- Drive Data Quality Initiatives: Independently define and implement strategies to efficiently scale data quality work, leading data quality efforts to support product development and improve fundamental data quality.
- Manage Stakeholder Requests and Support: Oversee partner requests, drive partner alignment when needed, and serve as a resource for answering clients' data-related support requests.
- Foster Collaboration and Process Improvement: Work with business teams to create and implement more efficient processes, best data practices, and educational documentation.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 3+ years of experience in data management with databases and/or content management systems.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to integrate information across a broad ecosystem to diagnose issues and devise solutions.
- Solid understanding of workflow and the ability to recognize weaknesses.
- General knowledge of the pitch-to-play lifecycle of content and data lifecycle and data management concepts.
- Excellent time management and project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines for multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate with empathy and clarity to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with Google Suite and table-based applications (e.g., Excel, Airtable).
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
To take your application to the next level, consider the following:
- Experience with SQL and data querying.
- Experience working with product, engineering, and customer support teams.
- Background in legal operations or studio operations, or experience working at a studio, distributor, film sales, production company, agency, management firm, or other entertainment entity.
