About the Job
We are looking for a hard worker and imaginative events manager who can lead the development and delivery of elite events from in-person to virtual and everything in between in India for external and internal audiences. You should be able to combine strategic thinking with execution at scale and not be afraid to think outside the box and offer groundbreaking ideas that would be useful, as well as experiment with the latest tools and technologies to elevate our events into novel experiences.
You will certainly stand out for your attention to detail, the ability to appreciate the situation in its entirety, and clearly articulate your vision to internal and external stakeholders, as well as the ability to partner seamlessly and execute flawlessly in India for local and global titles. In bringing Indian titles to life, you will partner closely with a regional team of experienced event professionals while collaborating with local PR, Content, and Marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Innovative conceptualization, creation of innovative proposals, and quotations
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across various disciplines to align on the stories to work through events
- Strategic and creative problem solver
- Ability to pivot quickly and maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor
- Informed captain on all things events, proactively soliciting feedback and perspectives from cross-functional partners, including title and market marketing experts, Photo and AV Studio, Article and Publishing, to deliver effective event campaign strategies
- Produce innovative and first-rate experiences that are consumer-driven and unique to arenaflex
- Adaptable to hybrid or virtual events, with knowledge of the latest tools, platforms, and technologies to bring our vision to life
- External vendor and agency management and oversight
- Provide team with key direction on acquisition of venues, vendors, entertainment, and event-related requirements
- Superior project, budget, and time management skills, within tight deadlines
Essential Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4+ years of events experience, ideally from the media and entertainment industry, including making, executing, planning, and staffing events at a company, studio, agency, or with a brand (experience in film or TV awards campaigns is a plus)
- A self-starter who can work independently and under pressure, while consistently exercising smart judgment even when faced with ambiguity
- Strategic and creative problem solver
- Ability to pivot quickly and maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor
- Articulate what is and isn't required to deliver a successful mission
- Be straightforward and unafraid to challenge, clarify, or call out obstacles
- Nimble with meticulous attention to details
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to focus to complete tasks
- Fantastic communication skills
- Experience working in the Asia-Pacific region is an asset
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working with streaming entertainment companies or similar industries
- Knowledge of the latest event management tools and technologies
- Fluency in multiple languages
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
