Key Responsibilities
- Perform data analysis and modeling to inform Net Loss Provision forecasts and credit risk-related insights
- Partner with Risk and Finance groups on strategic projects, driving key analytics to inform business decisions
- Drive awareness of data insights, market trends, and portfolio developments across organizations, proactively identifying opportunities for analysis
- Provide thought leadership on initiatives across the Global Risk Finance agency to support American Express's long-term growth targets
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and develop deep analytics, leveraging advanced methodologies in forecasting approaches
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in data analysis, modeling, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have:
- A deep understanding of Risk Management principles and practices
- Experience with data analysis, modeling, and data visualization tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive insights and recommendations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization
- A degree in a quantitative field, such as Finance, Economics, or Mathematics
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working in the financial services industry, preferably with a focus on risk management or credit risk
