**Responsibilities**
As a Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you will be responsible for:
* Performing a variety of support functions to support the department, including data entry, data analysis, and report generation
* Handling multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines
* Assisting in compiling data, generating reports, and maintaining accurate records
* Providing exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
* Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion

* Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to improve processes and efficiency
**Required Skills & Experience**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A high school degree or equivalent
* Proven experience as a data entry clerk, preferably in a remote setting
* Fast typing skills, with a minimum of 40 words per minute
* Knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets, including MS Office Word, Excel, and Google Suite
* Working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware, and peripheral devices
* Basic understanding of databases and data management principles
* Good command of English, both oral and written, and excellent customer service skills
* Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision
**Preferred Skills & Experience**
While not required, the following skills and experience are highly desirable:
* Knowledge of touch typing systems and techniques
* Experience with data entry software, such as Data Entry Pro or KeyBlaze
* Familiarity with database management systems, such as MySQL or Microsoft Access
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
* Experience working in a remote team environment, with a focus on communication, collaboration, and time management
**Equipment Specifications**
To ensure success in this role, you will need to meet the following equipment specifications:
* Dual monitors, with the ability to have Teams/Outlook open on both screens
* A keyboard with a 10-key number pad
* A Windows 10 or 11 operating system
* An ISP download speed of 25Mbps or higher
* A minimum screen resolution of 1920 X 1080 (higher preferred)
* A laptop that can run an external monitor at the prescribed resolution (laptops are acceptable, but they must be able to run an external monitor)
* No Chromebook or MacBook (due to compatibility issues with our software)
* A web camera for Teams meetings
* A headset or external speakers (if none built-in) for calls
