This is a temporary position (W2 Only) with a duration of 2 years, offering a unique chance to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our organization. **About the Role:** As a Data Entry and Word Processing Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting the Bureau of Surveillance and Data Systems (BSDS) in the Division of Epidemiology. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Providing technical assistance to the Director, Statistical Unit, and staff * Answering telephone calls, fielding questions from system users, and referring callers to subject matter experts * Entering data into the Communicable Disease Electronic Surveillance System (CDESS), including all influenza cases and other vaccine-preventable diseases (VPDs) * Transferring laboratory information from the Electronic Communicable Laboratory Reporting System (ECLRS) to CDESS * Performing tasks associated with mailings or faxes to system users, including registration forms or other informational materials * Supporting providers and school users in setting up new accounts for use of the online New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS) * Answering telephone calls and performing searches in NYSIIS to locate individual's immunization records, processing and sending back records in a confidential manner **Requirements:** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * Experience with personal computers, including experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook) * General office experience * Proofreading skills and attention to detail * Excellent communication skills, including telephone skills and customer service * Ability to work independently and prioritize workload **Preferred Qualifications:** * Associate's degree or higher * Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field * Familiarity with CDESS, ECLRS, and NYSIIS systems **What We Offer:** As a valued member of our team, you'll enjoy: * A competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunities for career growth and professional development * A dynamic and supportive work environment * Hybrid work arrangement (50% onsite, 50% offsite) * Paid parking and access to public transportation (CDTA bus line near the Empire State Plaza) * Possibility of assignment extension **Company Culture:** At arenaflex, we're committed to creating a workplace that's inclusive, diverse, and supportive.
