Job Responsibilities
As a Data Architect at blithequark, you will play a critical role in shaping our data strategy and ensuring that our data systems are aligned with our business objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining the enterprise data model, including data models, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and technical metadata.
- Understanding enterprise information needs and analyzing and aligning with other business models.
- Defining and maintaining the data technology architecture, data integration architecture, data warehouse and BI architecture, and enterprise taxonomies and namespaces.
- Conceptualizing the general data architectural framework for large, complicated evaluations of data to be used throughout the enterprise.
- Collaborating with Data Engineers on data model, its maintenance and optimization, as well as end-to-end data-driven integration strategy.
- Participating in growing the future nation data architecture requirements, guidelines, and principles.
- Optimizing performance of queries and ELT/ETL procedures, enhancing batch workouts by optimizing for more contemporary, near real-time capabilities.
- Building high-quality data pipelines driving analytic solutions and driving data platform architectural choices and development requirements.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree and at least 4 years of experience in data/analytics architecture, engineering design, configuration experience, and/or a related discipline, OR a High School/GED and at least 7 years of experience in data/analytics architecture, engineering design, configuration experience, and/or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in domain-specific Architecture.
- Experience developing cloud-based solutions.
- Knowledge of DevOps.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 2 years of direct management, indirect management, and/or cross-functional team management.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within the state and out of the state).
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology.
