**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our Sales Department, you will play a vital role in supporting our Sales Representatives and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This is a remote opportunity with flexible hours, offering a unique chance to work from the comfort of your own home while still being part of a dynamic and supportive team.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:
* Suggestive selling to current customers to increase sales and revenue
* Accurately inputting sales orders and maintaining accurate customer records
* Answering all calls promptly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues efficiently
* Taking customer messages and orders, escalating calls and/or issues to the appropriate individual or department as needed
* Attending to will-call customers and making telephone calls to customers and following customer call sheets
* Updating changes to customer order guides (in Seasoft) under the supervision or request of the account manager
* Updating customer price sheets as scheduled or as needed, maintaining accurate customer price lists in Seasoft
* Compiling sales data and developing product knowledge and market information to continually increase knowledge of the industry and pricing rationale
* Supporting customer service and sales department with special projects as assigned
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A High School Diploma or equivalent
* Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university is a plus
* Three to five years of progressively responsible, related experience in a position of comparable scope and size to the Company
* Ability to learn Seasoft software package
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to transfer attention from one task to another frequently without affecting performance
**Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
To excel in this role, you will need:
* Ability to identify and resolve pricing inconsistencies associated with multiple types of pricing methods
* Ability to manage a large volume of detailed work with accuracy
* Great attention to detail with minimal supervision
* Excellent telephone skills and etiquette
* Ability to read and write in English
* Ability to work flexible hours as needed
**Physical Demands**
The physical demands of this role include:
* Sitting, standing, talking, and hearing for extended periods
* Constantly using hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects
* Occasionally stooping, kneeling, crouching, and walking
* Lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds occasionally
* Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
**Work Environment**
As a remote employee, you will work mostly indoors in a quiet and comfortable environment. You may occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid, hot, cold, and snow conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can range from quiet to loud.
