We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in Indiana. As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our members, resolving issues, and creating linkages to our Medical Management Department for authorization of services. This is a full-time, remote opportunity that offers a dynamic work environment, opportunities for growth and development, and a competitive compensation package.
**Position Summary**
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:
* Handling daily member telephone calls, directing members to the proper services needed, educating members, problem-solving, and creating linkages to the Medical Management Department for authorization of services.
* Assisting providers with eligibility, benefit, and resolution of claims issues.
* Providing exceptional customer service, resolving issues, and escalating complex cases to the Medical Management Department as needed.
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation of member interactions and issues.
* Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and resolution of member issues.
**Essential Qualifications**
* High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
* One (1) year experience in a customer service-related role with direct contact with customers via telephone, email, chat, and/or face-to-face.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to resolve complex issues.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* One (1) year experience in a physician healthcare office environment or high-volume call center.
* One (1) year experience and knowledge of HMO, PPO, TPA, PHO, and Managed Care functions.
* Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare software.
* Certification in customer service, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Customer Service Manager (CCSM).
