**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our Land Records Division in Queens. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing tax payments, and assisting customers with the preparation of required cover pages for document submission. You will also be responsible for intake, scanning, and returning documents presented to the City Register offices for recording by mail or in-person, as well as processing certified document requests.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Assist customers in the public area with the preparation of required cover pages for document submission
* Intake, scan, and return documents presented to the City Register offices for recording by mail or in-person
* Process certified document requests
* Pull Microfilm/Microfiche and Land Record books
* Refile and keep Land Record books in order
* Cashier and open mail
* Research ownership
* Work on special projects within the division as needed
**Essential Qualifications**
* A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
* One year of satisfactory clerical experience
* Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute
