**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our remote team on a 40-hour contract basis. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for reviewing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), resolving patient medical billing inquiries, collecting payments, and assisting with patient inquiries regarding their medically billed charges. This is a dynamic role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly attitude.
**Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing EOBs to resolve patient medical billing inquiries and collect payments
* Assisting patients with inquiries regarding their medically billed charges
* Providing exceptional customer service to patients and clients via phone, email, and online chat
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation of patient interactions and billing inquiries
* Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex billing issues and improve customer satisfaction
* Participating in online team meetings and company Q&A forums to stay informed and engaged
* Meeting daily quality and productivity quotas, as well as contributing to the overall success of the project
* Maintaining accurate time tracking and reporting
* Reading and following up on denials and appeals
* Working Monday through Friday during Hawaii Standard Time
* Navigating multiple systems and software programs, including electronic medical systems
* Demonstrating excellent computer skills and ability to work in a remote desktop environment
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
* **Experience**: A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, medical billing, or a related field
* **Attention to detail**: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in resolving patient medical billing inquiries and collecting payments
* **Communication skills**: Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills to interact with patients, clients, and internal teams
* **Technical skills**: Proficiency in electronic medical systems, multiple software programs, and high-speed internet
* **Availability**: Availability to work Monday through Friday during Hawaii Standard Time
* **Equipment**: A Windows-based personal computer, high-speed internet, and a personal phone (no Chromebooks or company-provided equipment)
* **Training**: Ability to complete mandatory on-boarding training, including online videos and live meetings
* **Certifications**: No specific certifications are required, but experience with medical billing and insurance is highly preferred
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:
* Experience working with multiple clients and systems
* Knowledge of medical billing and insurance regulations
* Certification in medical billing or a related field
* Experience with electronic medical systems and software programs
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
