- Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., sales, marketing, customer service) an asset
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing sales or service role, preferably in a retail environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
- Strong product knowledge and ability to learn about new products and services, with a focus on our specific store departments (e.g., Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, Tool Rental)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales and customer service targets
