Job Summary

As an Animator at ESPN, you will be responsible for creating motion graphics, animations, and other visual effects for various ESPN programs. You will work closely with our team of designers, producers, and editors to develop and implement visually compelling solutions that meet the creative vision of our shows. Key Responsibilities

• Use existing animation assets and elements to create content for ESPN programming, including motion graphics, animations, and visual effects.
• Interpret project details and creative direction to develop visually compelling solutions that meet the needs of our shows.
• Continuously develop and refine animation skills to create customized animations that exceed expectations.
• Collaborate with designers, producers, and editors to ensure seamless integration of animation elements into our programs.
• Prioritize multiple projects, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements with ease.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of project workflows, timelines, and delivery specifications.
• Create and design graphics for studio shows and remote events, including daily show production planning.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of After Effects, Media Encoder, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Fundamental understanding of design, animation theory, and principles.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Online portfolio or demo reel showcasing your animation skills and experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours and on-site as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with After Effects scripting.
• Basic understanding of 3D animation principles and software, such as Cinema 4D.
• Experience working with clients and creating content within established brand guidelines.
• Previous experience in sports design and/or animation, either through education or professional experience.
• Interest in sports and knowledge of ESPN programming.
