Job Details
As an Amazon Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving and stocking merchandise, maintaining inventory, and packing and shipping orders. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with colleagues to ensure that our customers receive their orders quickly and efficiently. Your duties will include:
- Receiving and processing incoming stock and materials
- Managing and maintaining inventory levels, including tracking and reporting stock levels
- Packing and shipping orders, ensuring that they are accurate and on time
- Maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse, including adhering to safety protocols and procedures
- Operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner
Physical Requirements
This role requires a significant amount of physical activity, including:
- Lifting and moving heavy objects, up to 49 pounds, on a regular basis
- Participating in team lifts of 50+ pounds, as needed
- Working in confined spaces, at heights, and on ladders, as required
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or warehousing environment
- 2+ years of experience using online applications, such as a Warehouse Management System, Inventory Management System, or similar
- A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience investigating computer and warehousing equipment issues
- Experience with reverse logistics operations
- Familiarity with Amazon's systems and processes, or similar e-commerce platforms
