Job Summary
As the first point of contact for passengers, our Airport Customer Service Agents play a vital role in creating a positive and lasting impression of arenaflex. This dynamic role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including checking in and ticketing passengers, escorting passengers to and from aircraft, and resolving customer complaints. Key Responsibilities
- Able to greet and assist all customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner over the phone and in person, providing personalized support and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Announce both incoming and outbound flights, ensuring that passengers are informed and up-to-date on flight information.
- Handle credit cards and personal check transactions with accuracy, properly accounting for all collections and conducting the appropriate airline close-out procedures.
- Accept and process checked baggage, weighing up to 100 lbs., and place it on conveyor belts, ensuring that all baggage is handled safely and efficiently.
- Operate jetways to position them prior to aircraft arrival and lifting, opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors, ensuring a safe and smooth boarding process.
- Utilize airline computer systems to provide flight arrival and departure information, ticketing and flight boarding documents, lost or damaged baggage documentation, and cargo tracking information, staying up-to-date on the latest flight information and passenger requirements.
- Able to stand and work in one location for up to four hours at a time, maintaining a high level of energy and focus in a fast-paced environment.
- Escort unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport, providing personalized support and ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Work independently without direct supervision, taking initiative and making decisions to resolve any issues that may arise.
Essential Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, and a high degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language, with excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality in person and via telephone.
- Possess entry-level computer skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Able to stand for long periods of time, with the ability to occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
- Must pass an extensive post-offer pre-employment background check, including fingerprinting and a criminal history record check required by federal law.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with a flexible schedule and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
