Equipment Operations and Cost Analyst

Morgan Corp. is currently searching for an Equipment Operations and Cost Analyst. This role will support the daily operations, financial tracking, and performance analysis of Morgan Corp.’s equipment fleet. Sitting at the intersection of fleet management, operations, and finance, you will work with real-time data to track equipment utilization, costs, and lifecycle performance. You will be actively involved in the rhythm of shop and field operations, ensuring data integrity, identifying trends, and supporting decisions that impact equipment reliability and profitability. Responsibilities: Equipment Data & Performance Tracking: • Maintain accurate equipment data in Viewpoint Vista (costs, locations, transfers, meter readings). • Track and analyze utilization, availability, and cost recovery across the fleet to identify trends and improvement opportunities. • Support lifecycle tracking, wear analysis, and performance trends. Cost & Financial Analysis: • Monitor equipment-related costs including fuel, maintenance, and depreciation. • Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting, including variance investigation. • Support financial processes such as lease accounting, asset setup, and depreciation tracking. Operational Reporting & Support: • Produce and refine recurring reports on utilization, fuel, labor, and overall cost performance. • Help ensure alignment between shop activity, field operations, and system data. • Identify data inconsistencies and work with teams to resolve them. Fuel, Labor & Resource Tracking: • Track fuel pricing, consumption, and allocations; assist with forecasting. • Monitor technician labor, third-party technician labor, and workforce data. • Analyze key cost drivers across equipment categories. Process Improvement & Projects: • * Assist in improving reporting processes, data accuracy, and system usage. • Document workflows and support standardization efforts. • Contribute to special projects and deeper-dive analyses as needed. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required. • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, construction management, or related field preferred. • Strong Excel or data-related experience is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to analyze data and communicate findings clearly. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). • Basic math and problem-solving skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and operations personnel by telephone, email, and in-person; and effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations, which may include customers and vendors. • Perform other duties and/or special projects as needed.
