About the Role
As a Data Scientist, Product, you will be an integral part of our product development team, driving the definition, tracking, and operationalization of feature, product, and organization-level metrics. You will work closely with our product development team to design and interpret A/B tests, create data-driven insights, and develop dashboards and reports that empower the team and company to answer product data questions in a self-serve manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the product development team as a trusted partner to identify opportunities for product improvement and drive innovation.
- Design and interpret A/B tests to inform critical decisions about the impact of model and UX changes on our product.
- Establish a data-driven product development culture by driving the definition, tracking, and operationalization of feature, product, and organization-level metrics.
- Create and socialize dashboards, reports, and other tools to enable the team and company to answer product data questions in a self-serve manner.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our product and its users, leveraging data insights to inform product decisions.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 4+ years of experience in a quantitative role, preferably as a founding data scientist or product analyst at a hyper-growth product company or research organization.
- Proven ability to design, plan, and execute rigorous analyses with clear insights and product recommendations using SQL and Python.
- Experience defining, implementing, and operationalizing new feature and product-level metrics from scratch.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with product managers, engineers, and executives.
- Key insights beyond the paradigm of statistical significance testing.
Preferred Qualifications
To be a particularly strong fit for this role, you should have:
- Demonstrated knowledge in NLP, large language models, or generative AI.
- A strong programming background, with the ability to run simulations and model variations.
- Experience validating quantitative insights with qualitative methods (e.g., surveys, UXR).
