They are looking for an Entry Level Chemical Engineer in Portland, OR, who will work on projects related to industrial and commercial facilities, ensuring technical quality and schedule adherence while gaining valuable experience in chemical process design.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks
- Gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule
- Establish chemical process design basis
- Develop process options and optimizations of selected design
- Calculate and organize data for process flow sheets
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship (sponsorship will not be available for this role now or in the future)
- Familiarity with Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Basic understanding of process design principles and standards
- Previous relevant internship experience
- Basic knowledge of ASPEN, PipeFlo (Professional and Compressible), AFT Fathom, HTRI, WinGems, and SmartPlant
- Previous exposure to manufacturing processes, process engineering and design activities
- Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate or on track to obtain
