The electrical engineer will work through the life cycle of equipment and facilities, performing design development, construction oversight, and maintenance tasks while collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams. Responsibilities - Design of commercial and industrial power, lighting, communications, fire alarm and security systems (plans, specs, and cost estimates) - Perform Arc Flash Hazard Analysis - Perform facility condition assessments and capital asset management planning - Perform detailed cost analyses and material take-offs of a variety of building types throughout the US and other countries - Perform construction management for ongoing construction efforts - Work with multi-disciplinary design teams Skills - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program - Zero to two years' experience and is seeking to specialize in Power for Electrical Engineering throughout their career - Prefer EIT License or prior engineering co-op/internship experience - Proficiency in using engineering tools and software - Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams/Sharepoint and email Applications - Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code - Ability to perform Arc Flash Hazard Analysis - Ability to perform facility condition assessments and capital asset management planning - Ability to perform detailed cost analyses and material take-offs of a variety of building types throughout the US and other countries - Ability to perform construction management for ongoing construction efforts - Effective interpersonal skills and strong communication (written and verbal) - Confident and ambitious problem solver - Creative and Innovative - Self-directed Initiative - Dependable - Understands the culture of business - Detail Oriented - Valid/Unrestricted FL driver license - Must be a US Citizen - Ability to obtain a clearance from the Defense Security Service and other Federal Government Agencies - Experience with CAD, Revit, SKM Power Tools for Windows, Easy Power, or other electrical system modeling/drafting software highly preferred Benefits - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) with company match - Paid time off and company holidays - Wellness programs and employee assistance resources - Professional development support Company Overview - Salas O'Brien is a national leading Facilities Planning, Commissioning, Construction Management and Mechanical, Electrical.
