Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000
Overview
Genesys Works is a national leader in providing pathways to career success for high school students in underserved communities through skills training, meaningful work experiences, and impactful relationships. Currently in 8 cities across the country, we are positioning ourselves for future growth and have an exciting opportunity for a strategic business leader to join the National team as a Director, Project Management.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director, Project Management will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within Genesys Works, coordinate and monitor project management plans and timelines, build processes to drive cohesion, and regularly report on progress.
Working in collaboration with other leaders and colleagues, the Director, Program Management will be responsible for the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess the impact of significant projects upon internal stakeholders to ensure buy-in and alignment;
- Provide strategic guidance to ensure projects align with the organizations overarching goals and objectives;
- Develop and maintain partnerships across the organization with multiple project teams; foster collaboration and communication between project teams and other departments;
- Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, documenting timeline and milestones, project vision, quality and performance measurements;
- Attend and/or host regular, cross-functional project update meetings to gather information and track project progress;
- Coordinate and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables; design risk mitigation plans to help minimize barriers to project completion;
- Provide regular written updates to the SLT to provide clarity on progress;
- Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan; and
- Create, test, and refine tools and methodologies to improve our organizational project management practices;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Seven (7)+ years of relevant experience;
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or other project management certification strongly preferred
- A deep belief in organizational mission;
- Extensive experience in project management tools and/or software
- Project management skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure;
- Self-starter, able to work with multiple stakeholders, and skilled at holding teammates accountable;
- Ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize and take directions from multiple people;
- Initiative to work independently while simultaneously maintaining a team focus;
- Strong organizational skills and a talent for creating efficiencies and refining processes;
- Ability to work with computers, software, and databases:
- High degree of comfort working with Microsoft Office applications;
- Experience using and familiarity with project management tools is strongly preferred;
- Affinity with Salesforce is a plus;
- Critical thinking and strong analytical abilities; and
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
