Reports to: Manager, Social Media Location: Islip and Bay Shore Studio Locations Position Type: Flexible Schedule (Part-Time) Job Description: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Content Creator to join our team at Dance Connection. This position will work closely with the Social Media Manager to capture engaging and high-quality content that promotes our studio, showcases student achievements, and enhances the Dance Connection brand across social media platforms. If you have an eye for great content, enjoy working with dancers and parents, and are skilled in photography and video creation, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities: • Collaborate on Content Strategy: Work with the Social Media Manager to plan and execute the monthly content calendar and social media strategy. • Capture High-Quality Content: Visit both studio locations on different days each week to capture compelling content, including classes, lobby activity, special events, and more. • Photography and Videography: Take excellent, post-ready photos and videos for social media. • Create Engaging Reels and Videos: Take and edit Reels, behind-the-scenes footage, and other video content to highlight studio life and performances. • Conduct Interviews: Interview dancers, parents, and staff to create engaging and authentic social media content that tells the story of Dance Connection. • Content Uploading: Upload all captured content to Dropbox, organized and ready for the Social Media Manager to schedule and post. • Engage with the Studio Community: Foster a positive relationship with dancers and parents, ensuring content reflects the vibrant and welcoming nature of Dance Connection. Qualifications: • Content Creation Skills: Strong ability to take high-quality, post-ready photos and videos. • Social Media Savvy: Understanding of social media trends, particularly on Meta and TikTok. • Engaging Personality: Comfortable interacting with dancers, parents, and staff to create authentic content that resonates with the community. • Attention to Detail: Ability to identify good content and capture moments that reflect the studio's energy and values. • Organizational Skills: Ability to organize and upload content in a timely manner for scheduling and posting. • Flexibility: This position offers a flexible schedule, with visits to both Islip and Bay Shore studio locations on different days of the week.
