About Our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy
Our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy is a critical component of our healthcare services, providing life-supporting specialty drug treatments to patients across the country. As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the care and support they need to manage their complex medical conditions. You will be the primary point of contact for patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies, providing expert guidance and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and process new patient drug requests and reorders, including verifying and updating benefits, interpreting and entering prescriptions into our pharmacy data system, and collecting copay amounts.
- Work closely with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve complex issues, such as prior authorizations, debt claims, and clinical concerns.
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and other channels, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Utilize your knowledge of medical terminology, insurance benefits, and pharmacy operations to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions, prescriptions, and insurance information.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring seamless patient care and optimal operational efficiency.
Essential Qualifications
- One year of experience in a customer-facing role, handling and resolving complex customer needs via phone, email, or other channels.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications.
- One year of PC keyboarding experience, with demonstrated accuracy and speed.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six months of experience resolving complex customer needs via phone, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
- Healthcare industry experience, with knowledge of medical terminology, insurance benefits, and pharmacy operations.
- Familiarity with specialty pharmacy operations, including prior authorizations, clinical concerns, and patient support.
