About the position
Responsibilities
• Assume responsibility for all service needs for an assigned caseload.
• Provide face-to-face clinical supervision of all team members as regards services provided and proper documentation.
• Lead team meetings to review expectations, provide information, etc.
• Review or complete Diagnostic Assessments for clients in conjunction with treatment planning.
• Supervise the documentation of the client's progress in program records electronic health record (EHR) within established timelines.
• Provide guidance and modeling of appropriate Clinicians functions to staff and provide crisis intervention, as necessary.
• Document all personal billable activities performed for your program.
• Tag all daily service encounters and progress notes for your team weekly.
• Enter service authorizations into provider connect when by the deadline (every 90 days).
• Develop and implement quality improvement activities for individual clinical staff members and the clinical aspects of School-Based Mental Health.
• Participate in weekly clinical rounds. Attend all administrative, in-service education, and other meetings as required.
• Responsible for rotating on-call staff coverage.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling or a related human services field from an accredited college or university.
• For social work degree, social work license in the appropriate jurisdiction [LICSW- District of Columbia]; relevant clinical license in appropriate discipline.
• 7 years of direct service experience in a school or mental health setting with children/youth who have mental illnesses.
• 3 years clinical supervision experience.
• 2 years supervisory experience.
Nice-to-haves
• Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
