$40,000 base pay + commission (if hitting 100% of targets, on target earnings up to an additional 50% of base pay, capped at 120% of targets)

Job Summary
At RowCal, we’re reimagining what community management looks like, and it all starts with making the right connections. Our Business Development Representative is a vital part of our national sales team, focused on building relationships with high-value communities across the country.
This role is equal parts hunter and helper: You’ll be identifying target HOAs that align with RowCal’s model in each of our regions, reaching out to key decision-makers with meaningful outreach, and sparking conversations that lead to new partnerships. You’ll also be the first point of contact for inbound leads by asking the right questions, qualifying interest, and ensuring a smooth hand-off to our local Sales Directors.
You’ll work closely with the national marketing and sales teams to keep our pipeline full, our CRM accurate, and our outreach thoughtful, relevant, and rooted in community care.
Role and Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and research high-value HOA communities that align with RowCal’s management model through existing data lists, and publicly available information
- Execute thoughtful outbound outreach via phone, email, and social platforms to engage Board members and decision-makers
- Respond promptly to inbound leads and inquiries, conducting discovery conversations to assess fit and readiness
- Qualify leads based on defined criteria and ensure a smooth hand-off to the appropriate local Sales Director
- Maintain detailed and accurate notes in Salesforce, tracking all lead activity and next steps
- Collaborate with the national sales and marketing teams to refine messaging and outreach strategies
- Monitor lead conversion performance and continuously optimize outreach efforts to improve results
- Partner with local teams to coordinate property walks, meetings, and follow-up touchpoints as needed
- Contribute to national campaigns and sales initiatives aimed at expanding RowCal’s footprint in priority markets
- Represent RowCal with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine interest in supporting communities nationwide
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a sales development, inside sales, or lead generation role
- Comfortable with high-volume outbound communication (phone, email, text, and social outreach)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Experience using a CRM (Salesforce preferred) to track all outreach, leads, and followups
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple outreach streams at once
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment
- Comfortable speaking with a wide range of stakeholders, including volunteer board members and property managers
- A natural problem-solver who listens well, asks the right questions, and connects the dots
- Mission-aligned with RowCal’s commitment to reinventing HOA management with care, accountability, and local expertise
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, most specifically Microsoft Outlook
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work on a computer and stare at a monitor screen for long periods of time
- Ability to drive to and from a several locations on occasions
Pay Range
The estimated starting pay range for this role is $40,000 per year. This good faith estimate is based upon RowCal's typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends on many factors including each employee's qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.
