Job Overview We're seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Representative – Commercial Lines Insurance Specialist I to join our team at blithequark. As a key member of our insurance services team, you'll be responsible for writing new business and servicing existing clients, managing multiple tasks, and gathering and communicating technical information related to insurance. Key Responsibilities As a Customer Service Representative – Commercial Lines Insurance Specialist I at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include: Managing a assigned book of renewal business and creating new business to drive revenue growth Obtaining underwriting information, preparing applications and specifications for renewal and new business Qualifying and analyzing clients' coverage needs, loss exposure, and recommending appropriate insurance solutions Informing clients about policy inclusions, limitations, and exclusions Securing all placement subjectivities by obtaining signed documentation and collecting premiums Providing renewal quotes and account rounding opportunities, communicating coverage terms and conditions of quotes to clients Engaging in daily virtual client interaction through impactful communication across phone, webinars, emails, and PowerPoint presentations Educating and consulting prospects on coverages that are available and appropriate for their business needs Reviewing existing policies and endorsements, requesting changes to the renewal underwriter as needed Preparing schedules of insurance, certificates of insurance, and issuing finance agreements Returning phone calls and responding to emails in a timely manner, following up on policy audits related to worker's compensation, general liability, and other areas Maintaining accounts in our Client Portal, setting status to active/inactive, and sending invites to access the portal to clients Maintaining contact with the client base throughout the year, per frequency set by management Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 years of customer service experience in the insurance industry A valid Property and Casualty License (P&C) and the ability to provide a copy for verification Prior experience as an Associate Customer Service Representative or similar role Ability to read and understand insurance policies, breaking down complex information into simple terms An understanding of the appropriate markets and their relative business models Possessing a sense of urgency and ownership when dealing with clients and prospects Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to actively listen and respond to clients' needs Attention to accuracy and detail in processing and maintaining client information Ability to differentiate between agency bill clients and direct bill clients, and the servicing needs of each Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, acting with a sense of urgency and prioritizing tasks effectively Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience with Agency Management System, specifically AMS360 Strong data entry skills, with accuracy and the ability to navigate among multiple systems Proficiency in Windows-based computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and internal systems such as NewTracker, Pipeline Manager, Benefit Point, and ImageRight Knowledge of company products and solutions, with the ability to educate and consult clients on available coverages Embracing change, with a willingness to continue learning and developing new skills Collaborative and cooperative approach, with the ability to share knowledge and work effectively with colleagues Strong work ethic, with flexibility to work within the designated work schedule as business needs change (i.e., late nights, weekends, holidays) Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we're committed to supporting the career growth and development of our employees. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
